Crysis 3 Revealed – Box Art Appears on Origin
Posted on April 11, 2012 AT 06:58am
THE BUZZ: EA appears to have accidentally confirmed Crysis 3′s existence via its Origin service.
The service currently has box art and listings for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC versions of the game (below), but these may have been removed by the time you read this. The box art features a Nanosuit wearing soldier holding a futuristic bow and arrow weapon.
Other adverts have also been spotted on Google referencing Hunter and Limited Editions of the game, as well as an Overkill bonus pack.
EGM’s TAKE: It appears that once again someone has pushed the wrong button and sent live what they wasn’t supposed to. If you remember, the same happened with the Syndicate reboot. In a world full of eagle-eyed gamers armed with print screen keys you have to be very careful what you let slip onto the Internet. Crytek has said on numerous occasions that it plans to make another Crysis game, we just didn’t know when they would do it. Looks like they’ve been at it for a good while as the game appears close to a reveal. By the looks of the box art, it appears that the team has opted to reuse the urban setting from Crysis 2, instead of returning to the island used in the first game. What normally happens with these leaks is that an official announcement will be sent out soon, confirming the game’s existence.
What would you like to see added or changed in the third game? Let us know in the comments below.
