THE BUZZ: Cevat Yerli, founder, CEO and President of Crytek, has commented on the graphic differences between consoles and PC for the recently announced Crysis 3.

When asked by a fan if console development would hold back the PC version of the game he replied:

#Crysis3 will push the #360, #PS3 to its limits, ahead of #Crysis2, but #Crysis3 #PC will be clearly ahead!”

You can check out the first screenshots of the game here.

EGM’s TAKE: Many fans believe that console development of Crysis 2 actually held back the PC version, leading to the game looking sub-par in quality compared to the original. It appears that Crytek don’t want to repeat this same mistake and is prepared to offer fans the graphic master class that they expected with the second game. Crysis has always been seen as a benchmark for PCs, due to its insane graphics, and is still used by many to test their rigs. Hopefully the team can offer something even more amazing with Crysis 3.

Do you feel that console development holds back PCs? Or do fans just expect too much? Leave your thoughts below.
