Crytek Considering Flash Support for Web Browsers

THE BUZZ: Crytek confirmed that they have also been looking into flash support for the CryEngine 3 after Epic announced that the Unreal Engine 3 would support Adobe Flash Player.

“It is an interesting approach we’ve been investigating as well. We’re developing a unifying technology to create high quality social and gaming experiences on all platforms including browser, smartphones, tablets, etc,” Carl Jones, Director of Global Business Development for CryEngine, told Edge in a recent email. ”We hope to be able to tell you more about it soon when we present our truly cross-platform solution.”

EGM’s TAKE: It seems that broswer based games may play a big part in the industry as technology moves forward.
