Crytek’s Cevat Yerli has revealed that the studio is aware that there are a lot of people who want to see Timesplitters 4, but interest simply still isn’t high enough to warrant starting the project.

“I tested through my official blog to see how big the Timesplitters community is, and while the volume of responses was quite high, we feel it’s not high enough yet,” he told VG247. “That being said, it did indeed trigger a deeper evaluation of what we do with Timesplitters, and I can only say this for now; we might have some surprises coming soon.”

What could these surprises be? I’m hoping it’s a HD collection of the originally three games, what better way to discover the interest in a new Timesplitters than by re-releasing the originals.
