Cult Hit Indie Game ‘Slender’ Gets A Remake For Commercial Release

For a fan-made property, the original indie survival horror game Slender: The Eight Pages was a stroke of genius, using minimal elements and a chilling atmosphere to frighten player. Now, it’s coming back.
Where the first release was a bare-bones project with limited production value, the next one will be entirely different.
Slender: The Arrival tasks the player from escaping some desolate woods while being stalked by the Slender Man—a mysterious figure with elongated arms that preys on children.
It’ll be a full remake of its predecessor, with vastly enhanced graphics, artwork, and level design—but instead of a free indie game, this will be a commercial release (with the price undetermined so far).
Parsec Productions and Blue Isle Studios will handle the extra development.
It’s going to be a PC exclusive, but hopefully the final project will inspire enough interest and profit to get a PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade release. Check out the official website here, and make sure to play the original game for yourself—with the lights off, and your volume turned way up, preferably.
