Remember that diaorama you made in third grade? The one with the plastic dinosaurs running from the volcano that was set to destroy the little plastic chunk of Pangea you laid out in one of your mother’s shoeboxes? We bet you never guessed you would use those skills later in life.
Well whip out the Elmer’s Glue and safety scissors, Nintendo has announced a contest to celebrate the November 11 release of Paper Mario: Sticker Star.Fans are being asked to push their artistic skills to the limit and create a Paper Mario inspired diorama. They want people to depict scenes from the game, or what you imagine scenes from the game will be like, since the deadline lands four days before the game’s release.
“Imagination and creativity are part of Nintendo’s DNA,” said Nintendo’s Scott Moffitt. “Giving fans a chance to unleash their own creative talents is a terrific way to set the stage for the November 11 launch.”
There are five prize packages including a Nintendo 3DS XL, a copy ofPaper Mario: Sticker Star, a papercraft trophy and more.
You can submit photos or videos of your work on the game’s official Facebook page at http://www.papermario.nintendo.com/facebook. The contest is running now through November 7, so get those entries in order quick.
The page also includes some instructional videos as well as all of the official rules. So get cutting and pasting kiddos! These dioramas aren’t going to make themselves.
