Cyberpunk 2077's concept art hid a crazy set of secret messages

CD Projekt Red released a few pieces of concept art earlier this week, and fans are finding secret messages hidden in the images.

The hunt for secrets began when fans noticed a shortened link URL hiding in the top corner of one of the images. Typing it in brought fans to another picture, a trippy series of neon pink and purple lines with static and more text to uncover. Immediately, fans on Reddit and Discord began hunting for more clues, and went down the rabbit hole.

StormW1ind_ on Reddit pointed out that loading the image as text in an XML editor resulted in a Caesar cypher, which in turn led fans to a cryptic message. “Can’t talk. They’re watching. Need my TT insurance renewed ASAP. Use the provided ID. Counting on you.”

From there, fans found a link to a website called Trauma Team Services, and fans on the Discord uncovered a chat log between “you” and someone named “David,” confirming the purchase of Health Insurance. That in turn gave fans an ID number, and led to yet another image thanking fans for their time and acknowledging that the process “may take up to 7 days.”

That’s where the hunt has currently stalled. It’s not clear whether fans will have to actually wait seven days, or whether there’s still more to uncover. We’ll keep an eye on the hunt as it develops.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in development for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
