Microsoft has been teasing the launch of the Xbox 360 SmartGlass companion app for quite a while, and according to Engadget, a compatible device will act as the secondary DJ.

That means you’ll be able to use your iOS, Android, or Windows 8 tablet to queue up songs, create playlists, swap difficulty settings, and generally direct the behind-the-scenes stuff while waiting to play. It also adds a calorie-burning tracker and Facebook integration for solo play, so there’s a good variety for the free app.
