Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls creator Hidetaka Miyazaki is now the new president of developer From Software, the company announced today (as translated and reported by Gamasutra).
Miyazaki’s promotion is one of several internal shifts within the company, including Demon’s Souls producer Masanori Takeuchi taking up as senior managing director.
The Souls creator joined From Software in 2004. His first project with the company was as director on 2004’s Armored Core 4, followed by 2009’s Demon’s Souls and 2011’s Dark Souls. While Miyazaki did not direct this year’s Dark Souls II, he did supervise the project while working on another, unannounced title.
