Dark Souls II DLC trilogy coming to PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 starting July

Posted on June 4, 2014 AT 10:50am

Three episodes of DLC are coming to Dark Souls II over the next three months, publisher Bandai Namco announced today.

Collectively known as the Lost Crowns Trilogy, the Dark Souls II DLC sees players embarking on a quest to reclaim King Vendrick’s crown (which I’m sure means something to Dark Souls II players?), delving into new dungeons in the process that include, at the very least, “pyramids, underground caverns, and unknown foes.”

The first episode, “The Crown of the Sunken King,” will arrive across PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 July 22. The second episode, “The Crown of the Old Iron King,” will follow one month later on August 26, and the third episode—“The Crown of the Ivory King”—a month after that on September 24.

Each individual episode will run for $9.99. On Steam, a season pass that nabs you all three episodes is available for $24.99. It’s unclear whether the season pass will be made available to console players, too.
