Darkstalkers Resurrection Announced For 2013 On PSN, Xbox Live
Posted on October 12, 2012 AT 11:20am
At long last, the Darkstalkers series is rising from the dead to hit consoles early next year, with the re-release of two classic titles. Darkstalkers Resurrection will debut on PSN and XBLA, with more to come.
Capcom made the announcement late yesterday, noting that fan pressure that helped move the project along.
Just recent re-releases Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure HD Ver., this collection features remastered versions of older games.
Both Night Warriors: Darkstalkers’ Revenge and Darkstalkers 3 are included in the single release, and will get the typical Capcom quite of online multiplayer and community features, such as:
- GGPO online play
- YouTube replay uploads
- Eight-player spectator mode
- Updated tutorial mode
- Unlockables, Trophies, and Achievements
- New visual upscaling effects
Check out the video below to see exactly what’s store. It’s kind of a shame that Capcom is missing an obvious tie-in for the upcoming Halloween season, but this month is pretty packed with releases already.
