Originally, IO Interactive had announced that they’d be looking for a new voice actor to play the role of Agent 47 in the upcoming Hitman: Absolution. However, the studio has now revealed that the voice you’ll hear coming from the iconic hitman will be a most familiar one.

Reprising the role will be David Bateson, who fans of the series will know as the actor who has supplied Agent 47’s voice for the last twelve years.

“IO and Bateson have been bed fellows for over a decade and like all long running relationships sometimes absence makes the heart grow fonder,” said brand director Jon Brooke in today’s announcement. “Looking back I think we were just playing hard to get.”

And—thanks to the video below—you can hear the announcement from the man himself.
