David Hayter Lends His Voice to The Long Dark

Posted on October 15, 2013 AT 03:19am

Hinterland has announced that Mr. Solid Snake himself, David Hayter, will be joining the voice cast of its upcoming title The Long Dark.

Hayter enjoyed a 15-year long run as the iconic voice of Solid Snake, and has also worked as a writer on several films such as X-MenX2: X-Men United, and Watchmen. “David’s years of experience bringing the complex, multi-layered character of Solid Snake to life make him ideal for delivering the kind of deep, character-driven storytelling that players will discover in The Long Dark,” the developer wrote. “We’re thrilled to have him join the cast!”

The Long Dark, which has less than 48 hours to go on its Kickstarter campaign, recently exceeded its funding goal of $200,000 CAD, and is currently sitting on $235,487 CAD. In the game players take on the role of William Mackenzie, a pilot whose plane mysteriously crashed following a supernatural event. Players must battle the elements and wildlife in order to survive.
