DayZ experimental patch introduces disconnect penalties

Posted on January 30, 2014 AT 04:34am

Bohemia Interactive has released a new experimental patch for DayZ, which introduces penalties for players who quickly disconnect or switch servers.

The patch note in question reads: “Player queuing system introduced. Penalty waiting time added for switching server or disconnecting a server quickly.” Other changes include an inability to access inventory or the action menu while restrained, improved interactions with items, and more.

There are also a number of fixes introduced in this patch, including fixes for morphine injections, keys, berries, spraypaint, popping textures, roads, backpack spawns, and more.

Only a small number of servers are currently running this experimental patch, with a full stable release scheduled for between February 5 and February 7. You can check out the full patch notes here.
