Dead Island

THE BUZZ: Deep Silver has confirmed that the first DLC pack for Dead Island, entitled “Bloodbath Arena,” will be released later this month.

The DLC lets players fight waves of zombies in four new areas; it will also include a new gun known as the “Brain Wave Bomb.”  Experience earned in this mode can be carried over into the main campaign, allowing you to grind in the arena if you find yourself underpowered.

Those who purchase the special edition will receive access to Bloodbath Arena for free.  No price has been set for everyone else.

EGM’s TAKE: It’s good to see Deep Silver supporting the game with new content so soon after release, though many are sure to ask why it wasn’t included in the retail version.
