Techland, the developers behind Dead Island: Riptide and Call of Juarez, have announced their next game: Hellraid.

The title is described as a “first-person co-op slasher” that boasts both single-player and cooperative multiplayer modes. Techland says Hellraid blends elements of hack ‘n’ slash RPGs with first-person shooters, and promises a “story-driven” single-player campaign. Said story—as you can well imagine—revolves around pitting the player against hordes from Hell.

There might also be some raiding. Can’t be sure.

Hellraid is set to launch on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 “later this year.”
