Dead or Alive 5 Coming September – New Gameplay Trailer Introduces Virtua Fighter’s Akira
Posted on March 6, 2012 AT 07:46am
THE BUZZ: Team Ninja head Yosuke Hayashi mentioned in the past that he’d like to do a Virtua Fighter/Dead or Alive crossover. Seems he’s doing it now.
A new trailer released for the game confirms that Virtua Fighter’s Akira Yuki will be a playable character in the game. No other details were given, but expect him to be available for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions.
Team Ninja also revealed today that Dead or alive 5 will be releasing this September.
EGM’s TAKE: Fans of Virtua Fighter will be pleased to see Akira make a return to consoles, as will fans of Dead or Alive, since this means an extra character on the roster. Lets just hope Tecmo doesn’t pull something stupid like making him day one DLC. That would not go down well at all.
