TGS 2011: Dead Or Alive 5 Unveiled
Posted on September 14, 2011 AT 07:38am
THE BUZZ: Team Ninja pulled the curtain back, showing Dead or Alive 5 for the first time at the Tokyo Game Show.
Yosuke Hayashi, Studio head at Team Ninja, led a behind closed doors presentation at the Tecmo event where he showed pre-Alpha footage of the game featuring Ryu Hayabusa, of Ninja Gaiden, squaring off against Hayate. It was promised that Dead of Alive 5 would be an evolution of the fighting genre, delivering top visual quality and focusing on fighting as entertainment.
Dead or Alive 5 will be released in 2012 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
EGM’s TAKE: Will DOA5 be the evolution that has been promised to us or will it simply resort back to the age-old formula of women with large assets in skimpy outfits? And as long as they improve the …. er … bouncy physics, do we really care?
What would you like to see added or changed in the fifth title?
