The previously teased new Dead or Alive 5 project has been officially announced as Dead or Alive Ultimate 5, Japanese magazine Famitsu revealed.

Dubbed a “super” version of Dead or Alive 5, according to Famitsu, Ultimate will contain several new characters, including Momiji from Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword. This new version of the game is set to release for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 later this year.

Team Ninja’s Yosuke Hayashi teased the project last month at a Dead or Alive 5 and SoulCalibur V tournament.
