Dead or Alive

Staying true to the spin-off series—the horribly objectifying series—Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 will once again feature pole dancing.

Publisher Koei Tecmo revealed the first screenshot of the feature in Famitsu magazine, a Japanese gaming publication, earlier this week. While many are worried about the oversexualized nature of the game, I personally am most worried about the purple-haired dancer’s ankle.

Obviously, something is wrong here. It looks like her ankle bone is just rubber. Has Ayane been kept hostage, forced to perform with a broken limb or suffer a drop into the rancor pit? Or perhaps her kunoichi training has allowed her to dislocate her ankle for escape purposes. It has to be something, because a game so focused on anatomy surely wouldn’t overlook such a grotesque inaccuracy.

Oh, wait. We’re talking about this game…

Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 will bounce onto Asian markets February 25th for PlayStation 4 and Vita. Though there are no plans for a Western release, if you’re looking to up your creep game, the game will be region-free and offer an English-language option. It also offers PlayStation VR support, if you need that in your life.
