Bungie is giving newcomers to Destiny 2 a great incentive to jump into its latest expansion, Forsaken. Soon, the purchase of the DLC will come with the current season pass for free.

According to Bungie’s latest blog post, starting on October 16th, all players that purchase the Forsaken DLC will receive the shooter’s first two expansions: Curse of Osiris and Warmind. Players are required to complete both before they can start Forsaken‘s story, so this is a great deal for those that haven’t played anything past the base game.

Previously, newbies only had the option of a $70 bundle that included a season pass to catch up with the latest expansion. Of course, Bungie has also acknowledged that players who already paid for everything have some reason to feel upset. To make it up to them, Destiny 2 will offer those early adopters some special rewards. All players that try Forsaken before October 16th will receive the Veterans of the Hunt bundle, which includes a Tiger Stripe Black shader, two Exotic emotes, fireteam medallions, vanguard and crucible boons, finest matterweaves, and a tiger emblem.

The Knife Trick and Coin Flip emotes will eventually be available through the Eververse, but everything else will be exclusive to the veterans that jumped into Forsaken early. “This package is currently slated to be delivered to Veterans in early December,” Bungie wrote.

It was also announced that Iron Banner will return on Tuesday, October 16th and will run until October 23rd. Per player feedback, this Iron Banner will introduce a few changes to bounty objectives and rewards, such as the guarantee of a powerful reward for each bounty completed. Plus, Lord Saladin will be selling two weapons with curated perk rolls in the shop.

Launching on the same day will be Destiny 2‘s Halloween event, Festival of the Lost. Guardians will have access to new missions and spooky gear, including a black cat Ghost shell.

Destiny 2 is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
