Destiny

Anyone itching for some new information about Destiny 2 ahead of the gameplay reveal on May 18th got a little taste to hold them over when the official Destiny Twitter account posted a promotional video for the event.

The seven-second clip features a Warlock holding a gun. Big deal, right? Well, the gun itself could hint at what kind of new weaponry Bungie has in store for its upcoming sequel.

Not only is the weapon smaller than other auto rifles we’ve seen featured in previous trailers, but it also shares a physical resemblance to the M7S SMG from another popular series of shooters that Bungie previously worked on. That could mean a new class of guns will be included in Destiny 2‘s arsenal.

We’ll find out on May 18th, when the gameplay event will almost certainly introduce whatever new weapons Destiny 2 has in store for us.

Michael Goroff has been gaming for almost three decades. He's a lover of all games and systems, but he mostly plays Xbox. That being said, if he's a fanboy, he's a fanboy for the game industry as a whole. Spit white-hot fanboy hate at him, trash talk his Gold II rank on Rocket League, or maybe just send him a cordial hello on Twitter @gogogoroff.
