Bungie has confirmed that the PC beta for Destiny 2 will kick off at the end of August.

Players who pre-order the game on PC will be able to access the beta on August 28th, while everyone else will be able to join on August 29th. The beta will run until August 31st and presumably includes all of the content found in the console beta.

The developer also outlined the minimum and recommended system requirements for the upcoming beta, but noted that these could change before the game officially launches:

Recommended

  • CPU – Intel – Core i5-2400/AMD – Ryzen R5 1600X
  • GPU – Nvidia – GeForce GTX 970/AMD – Radeon R9 390
  • RAM – 8GB

Minimum

  • CPU – Intel – Core i3-3250/AMD – FX-4350
  • GPU – Nvidia – GeForce GTX 660 2GB/AMD – Radeon HD 7850 2GB
  • RAM – 6GB

“This is not the last piece of news we’ll have for PC players prior to the Beta,” Bungie added. “In the weeks to come, expect us to sound off again with more details on how you can get the most out of your first steps in the PC build. Today, we wanted to let you know when the exercise will begin, and give you enough time – assuming you’ll even need it – to build the perfect rig. There’s much more to come.”

The PC version of the game supports an unlocked framerate, FOV slider, 4K resolution, ultra-wide monitors, text chat, and offers a number of graphical options.

Destiny 2 will be available on PC from October 24th, 2017.
