Destiny

The spooky season has begun, which means it’s time for a new Halloween-themed event in Destiny 2. Bungie has announced the Festival of the Lost will launch soon to give players new terrifying missions and gear to hunt down.

According to Bungie’s latest blog post, the shooter’s next event, Festival of the Lost, will run from Tuesday, October 16th until Tuesday, November 6th at 10 a.m. PT. During that time, Guardians will see the Tower decorated with colorful Engrams and ceremonial candles to celebrate the lives of those that fell in battle.

In addition to the decorations, there will be some new items and quests available that have been themed after the festival. Shipwright Amanda Holliday will offer daily bounties that will award Fragmented Souls, the currency used to purchase festival masks and the Horror Story Legendary auto rifle.

There will be other goodies to trick-or-treat for, too. Every XP bar completion will award both an Ephemeral Engram and a Steadfast Engram. This will give Guardians double the chance of finding the seasonal and weekly Bright Engram options. Plus, Tess will be selling individual pieces of gear in her shop in case players can’t get the one they want through an Engram. Take a look at a few of the spine-tingling items below.

In the gameplay department, the Festival of the Lost will introduce a special destination mission in a place called the Haunted Forest. Here, a solo player or fireteam can hunt down all types of monsters and Nightmares for 15 minutes. Also, beginning on Tuesday, October 30th, another revenge mission will take place. Not long after Cayde-6’s death, Master Ives fell in battle, and it’s up to the Guardians to avenge him. Players will have several new quests to complete, and each week a new powerful reward will become available.

Destiny 2 is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
