Destiny

Bungie recently updated the official Destiny 2 site to include several of the new features announced for the upcoming Warmind expansion. Perhaps most notably, the developer teased the next raid lair joining the shooter.

According to the official Destiny 2 site, the raid lair featured in Warmind will be called Spire of Stars. While only the name of the event was listed on the page, it’s likely that the lair will be found on the same planet-eating ship—Leviathan—where the main raid is currently found.

Shortly after the launch of the game’s first expansion, Curse of Osiris, Guardians were able to explore a new area of Leviathan. The location separate from the main raid, known as a raid lair, was called Eater of Worlds and featured a new set of difficult missions for fireteams to complete. While the raid lair is a shorter challenge than the main Leviathan raid, Guardians were still able to earn new gear, which means Spire of Stars could also offer unique weapons and armor.

Sadly, a majority of this is just speculation, as Bungie hasn’t unveiled any concrete details apart from the lair’s name. However, similar to the raid lair from Curse of Osiris, we can assume Spire of Stars will likely launch a few days after Warmind arrives on May 8th.

Alongside the launch of the new DLC, Destiny 2 will enter into its third season. To prep players, the developer recently revealed several new features that will be in the expansion and season, including a survival mission and a heap of DLC-exclusive gear. Out of the new weapons, the Legendary pulse rifle Redrix’s Claymore was the standout. The rifle will come with a new perk that will let Guardians fire fast, high-powered rounds. As exciting as it seems, though, Bungie also warned that acquiring the gun won’t be easy.

Destiny 2 is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
