Destiny

In a short but sweet trailer from Bungie, Guardians have gotten a preview of all the goodies Destiny 2‘s upcoming Crimson Days event has to offer.

The developer shared the teaser for the in-game Crucible celebration on Twitter, which runs from February 13th to 20th. Players can check out the video below that shows off the new quest-locked gear, including the Tirastrella Ghost shell, Undeterred Exotic sparrow, Dieselpunk Exotic Ornament, and emote. Guardians will have event-specific challenges to tackle to earn the unique items.

As previously revealed in a blog post, Crimson Days will include 2v2 Crucible matches that will award Crimson Engrams packed with lots of new gear to collect. Players will also be able to enjoy new map The Burnout, which is a “new take on The Burning Shrine set in a future timeline where the Vex have succeeded in altering our reality.”

Apart from the items for Guardians to hunt down, the event will offer an indication of how well Bungie has implemented its many promised changes. It’s been an ongoing discussion between the developer and community that a majority of the features in Destiny 2 need to change, with Bungie recently offering outlines and roadmaps of its plans to appease fans. One major criticism has been event-specific gear being locked behind the in-game shop, from which the team has seemingly stepped away for Crimson Days. Thankfully, Guardians should expect to find every new piece of equipment in the event through gameplay.

Destiny 2 is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
