Just one day after the launch of Destiny 2‘s Black Armory Bungie has dropped the Power level requirement for the expansion’s main feature.

According to the developer’s latest blog post, the Power level requirement for Black Armory‘s Lost Forges has been dropped by five. Bungie made the decision after getting feedback that even players close to the Power level cap of 650 weren’t able to complete the activities. “Some players at 600 Power have been unable to dive in and beat the final boss without grinding for new Power first,” Bungie wrote.

While dropping the level requirement by five seems like an insignificant solution, the developer promised that this was just the beginning of the changes that will be made to Lost Forges.

We have just delivered a server-side update to reduce the Power requirements for all the encounters in the Lost Forges by five. We fully acknowledge that this is a small move, but it is the one that we can make today. This is not the full extent of the changes to the player experience that we are investigating, but it should give Guardians at 600 Power a better chance at completing the activity.

For now, players at or above 600 should have a better chance at conquering the Lost Forges and earning the new Elite weapons. The good news for those still trying to grind through the 500 window is that Black Armory has started dropping Engrams housing gear that should make the climb a little easier.

Destiny 2 is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
