Destiny

The preorder bonus for Destiny 2 was recently announced on Twitter as an Exotic Trace Rifle that will give enemies a serious cold shoulder.

The weapon is called the Coldheart, and as the name implies, the exotic rifle shoots a beam of ice energy at targets. It is unclear by the weapon’s trailer whether or not it applies some ice-related status effect to enemies beyond simple damage, but it seems likely that the weapon will slow targets down in some capacity to fit with the ice theme.

In other Destiny 2 news, the new Survival Crucible mode and Altar of Flame arena were shown off for the first time in a recent IGN First video, as was the shooter’s Nessus explorable zone in another video shortly before that.

Destiny 2 is slated to launch September 6th on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a PC release date of October 24th.
