Destiny

Shortly before the announcement of Forsaken, Destiny 2‘s development roadmap was updated to tease a seasonal event called Solstice of Heroes. While Bungie has only revealed Prestige raid lairs will arrive in the update, new evidence points to a tweaked version of Armsday and a collection of Exotic Catalysts also being part of the deal.

According to Reddit user Eander and the Light.gg database, the shooter’s latest update included several backend references to something called Armsweek. Players familiar with the first Destiny should remember the weekly event of a similar name, Armsday, which let Guardians buy up to five weapon packages from Banshee-44 that held guns with randomized perks. While it’s unclear if the mysterious Armsweek will offer a similar feature, the Reddit user also found the new event hidden on Bungie’s site, with hints that during Armsweek Guardians will have four Nightfall strikes that require specific loadouts to complete.

Also tied to Armsweek are nine new recently discovered Exotic Catalysts. One for Sturm was discovered in Bungie’s database without many details attached to it, but the other eight seem closely tied to Armsweek and Solstice of Heroes. The first three—Legend of Acrius, Sleeper Simulant, and Telesto—will be acquired by completing the Prestige versions of the raid lairs, which are set to arrive in the Solstice of Heroes update. The other five appear to be tied directly to Armsweek. Check out the list of Catalysts below.

Legend of Acrius: Found in Prestige Leviathan by completing 300 of an unknown goal

Sleeper Simulant: Found in Prestige Spire of Stars by completing 500 of an unknown goal

Telesto: Found in Prestige Eater of Worlds by completing 500 of an unknown goal

Fighting Lion: Found during Armsweek by defeating 1,000 enemies and completing the Nightfall strike The Pyramidion with Fighting Lion equipped

Hard Light: Found during Armsweek by completing the Nightfall strike Savathun’s Song with Hard Light equipped

The Prospector: Found during Armsweek by defeating 500 enemies and completing the Nightfall strike The Arms Dealer with The Prospector equipped

Rat King: Found during Armsweek by defeating 1,000 enemies with the Rat King

SUROS Regime: Found during Armsweek by defeating 300 Crucible enemies and completing the Nightfall Strange Terrain

With the new Armsweek Catalysts listed with the Prestige raid lair’s Catalysts, all signs point to the new collectibles arriving together in the same update. However, only Solstice of Heroes has been confirmed to arrive in the July 17th update, so Armsweek could be saved for a later patch. Guardians will just have to wait for official word from Bungie and a more in-depth explanation of how the mysterious Armsweek will work.

Destiny 2 is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
