Bungie has announced that The Revelry event will kick off in Destiny 2 next week.

“The Revelry is a new event available to all Destiny 2 players that celebrates the joy of Spring. The Tower is overflowing with colorful arrangements, and Eva Levante has a new activity for you to enjoy with new rewards to claim,” Bungie explains. “But that’s just the beginning—the celebration spans across the solar system, offering ways for your character to feel more powerful in every activity Destiny 2 has to offer.”

During the event, players will be able to visit the Verdant Forest where they will have to clear as many rooms as possible and take out the five bosses that reside within it. While fighting bosses in the forest, players will have the chance to earn pieces of the new Inaugural Revelry armor set. This armor set can also be obtained by completing five weekly bounties from Eva.

The Revelry also introduces a new item that will increase the power of Guardians called Reveler’s Tonic. Players can fill their tonic with Reveler’s Essence by killing bosses in the Verdant Forest or completing other activities, and then choose to use the tonic to reduce the cooldown of either grenades, melee, or class ability. The tonic will become more powerful as more pieces of the Inaugural Revelry armor is equipped and its effects will be active in all game modes (except Private Matches).

In addition to the above, players can earn the new Exotic Kinetic Fusion Rifle, Arbalest, by completing Triumphs and turning in Reveler’s Essence to Eva. This new weapon does extra damage against enemy shields.

Finally, players will receive both a Bright Engram and a Revelry Engram every time they level up during the event. The Revelry Engram contains a number of new cosmetic items that will be on a “knock-out” list, so players will not receive duplicates until all items have been earned.

The Revelry event will be live until May 7th.
