Destiny

Piggybacking on the Strike the Dreadnaught Destiny stream, Bungie released even more details on Strikes, Nightfalls, and PvP endgame content in a new community post.

With the launch of The Taken King, Nightfall strikes will require Level 40 to participate, and the Nightfall buff has been removed indefinitely while Bungie tries to find a more balanced way to reward players. A team wipe will no longer send the team to orbit to encourage more people to play, and the resurrection timer will be set to 30 seconds, the same as a raid at normal difficulty.

Weekly Heroic Strikes will be replaced with the Vanguard Heroic Playlist. Guardians who complete the first three Strikes will receive bonus Legendary Marks, but again will be required to have obtained Level 40. Playing will also guarantee a Legendary Engram drop from the first completed Strike.

Endgame PvP has been reworked to reflect the PvE-focused Nightfall. After completing Lord Shaxx’s quest chain, players will be able to access Weekly PvP quests. Once those quests have been turned in, a final bounty called “The True Meaning of War” unlocks, offering Nightfall-tier rewards.

Destiny: The Taken King and the 2.0 update release on September 15th, 2015 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
