Destiny’s beta will be available first on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, developer Bungie has officially confirmed.

The announcement was made during last night’s All Access PlayStation 4 event on Spike TV. Access codes to the beta will be available with pre-orders from “participating retailers worldwide.” In the US the retailers include Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and Walmart.

“The required 9-digit entry code will be printed on their receipt, on a flyer distributed at time of purchase or sent via email through their respective retail rewards program,” Bungie said.

The beta for Destiny is scheduled to begin early 2014.
