Lest you forget, Destiny’s launch is a little over two weeks away, so Activision today released the first of what I assume will be two or three launch trailers.

The trailer (seen above), designated as a “Launch Gameplay Trailer,” is tenuously such in name. While certainly captured from in-game footage, almost none of the trailer is spent in the first-person perspective that the overwhelming majority of the game is seen from, and so hardly an adequate portrayal of user-experience. But I suppose that’s just not dynamic enough for the marketing machine, and so instead we’re treated to a collage of third-person action moments removed from context. Enjoy.

Destiny launches across PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360 September 9 worldwide.
