Destiny

There are more ways than ever to customize your Guardian in Destiny, thanks to a large shipment of armors and a new “Chroma” node coming in the April update.

Revealed in a recent developer stream, the entire “spring line” of Destiny gear was revealed. While new armors, guns, and emotes were shown off, the highlight?pun intended?was definitely the new Chroma system.

Chromas allow Guardians to customize their weapons and armor in four different colors: red, white, blue, and yellow. These work independent of shaders, and a different color can be applied to each armor piece or weapon, so customize responsibly. The Chroma node appears on new weapons and armor with a predesignated color. To change colors, Guardians can spend 100 Glimmer to re-roll (only) the Chroma color. Once you land on the color you like, you will need to use a Chroma consumable item to activate the node. While the majority of Chroma effects appear to be lines and glows, the stream did show off one Fallen item that?when infused with a Chroma?displayed the Fallen’s house symbol.

Chromas can be acquired by breaking down items previously infused with a chroma or from Sterling Treasure boxes. Either way you receive them, the color will be randomized, so good luck getting the color you love.

You can check out the entire Destiny stream below, while you wait for the update to arrive April 12th.
