Destiny

Bungie has shared a few details and pieces of concept art for one of Destiny’s vehicles known as the Shrike.

The Shrike is the work of lead art designer Tom Doyle, concept artist Isaac Hannaford, and 3D artist Travis Brady, and carries the tagline: “If you are a knight of the City, this is your steed.” This vehicle can be summoned at any point regardless of where you are as “getting from point A to point B should be fun… not a menu option,” according to Doyle.

An interesting feature of this vehicle is that it will get better over time as it upgrades alongside you. “The Shrike is something that you’ll upgrade over time in Destiny,” Doyle said. “Right off the bat, the Shrike has three distinct paint schemes that correspond to your particular Class.”

“Each paint scheme has its own distinct color palette to reflect progression.”

Destiny is set to launch September 9 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4.
