Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut Launching Later This Month

Deux Ex Human Revolution – Director’s Cut will finally launch on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U later this month, studio head David Anfossi announced today in a post on the Eidos Montreal Community site’s blog.

“Over the last 18 months, the team has been working very hard on the development of the Director’s Cut,” Anfossi wrote. “With this edition, we gave the team the envious task of pushing the boundaries of innovation and creativity to explore something we believe will become a big part of the future of the franchise, the second screen experience. When the game launches, players will have the opportunity to experience Human Revolution in a new and unique way through SmartGlass, the PS Vita, and the Wii U GamePad.”

Originally announced solely for Wii U in March, the Director’s Cut includes redesigned boss fights against the Tyrants that have been developed in house, improved AI, updated graphics, developer commentaries, “The Missing Link” DLC add-on, and, of course, second-screen functionality. In May, Eidos revealed that the Director’s Cut would be coming to PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 as well as Wii U. The video embedded below showcases some of the updates and improvements new to Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut.

The Director’s Cut will launch on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U October 22, priced at $29.99 for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions and $49.99 for the Wii U version (according to Amazon.com and GameStop.com).
