Devil’s Third, Tobonomu Itagaki’s extremely violent action game, is coming exclusively to Wii U, he announced during a recent IGN E3 livestream.

Nintendo “really understood my vision,” Itagaki said, “so I felt I really had to work with them.”  The game’s protagonist is part of a group of former terrorists who have mutant abilities, and many of the bosses in the game used to be his allies. The game will also ship with a level editor, he added.

Itagaki didn’t offer an official release date for the game, but we know that it’s due out by the end of the year.
