THE BUZZ: Micah Whiple, Community Manager at Blizzard, has said that retailer listings suggesting a February release date for Diablo 3 are not true.

“Retailers will not know a date until it’s officially announced through a press release,” he said on Twitter. Whiple added that developers, “can’t really keep every individual retail shop from making up a date” and that “any store or person claiming otherwise is guessing.”

EGM’s TAKE: Fans are dying to get their hands on Diablo 3 and as a result will cling to anything to vaguely resembles a possible release date. Keep clinging little demonslayers, keep clinging.
