THE BUZZ: Blizzard has announced an open beta for Diablo III throughout this weekend.

Starting at 12pm PST on Friday April 20, and ending 10am PST on Monday April 23, anyone with a Battle.net account can download and play the beta. If you don’t have an account you can sign up for one here.

During the open beta you will be able to play five characters up to level 13.

EGM’s TAKE: If you didn’t get a chance to get your hands on one of those incredibly rare and highly saught after beta keys, then now is the perfect opportunity to try before you buy. Or to just play some more Diablo III before its May 15 launch. Despite the communities anger at the changes made to the game, including the exclusion of PVP, millions have signed up for the beta and the game is set to be another success story for Blizzard.

Will you be trying out the beta this weekend? If you’ve already tried it, what are your thoughts on the game? Let us know in the comments below.
