A small number of select Blizzard community members will get access to the Diablo III: Reaper of Souls closed beta by the end of the year, Blizzard announced on the official Diablo III blog.
According to the blog post, the Reaper of Souls beta test will encompass all of the expansion’s content, with the exception of the final boss fight. As a result, invitations “will be extremely limited.” Blizzard will be handpicking the community members who get to participate in the closed beta. All of this is in an effort to ensure that “features like the Crusader, Mystic, and Adventure mode get the testing they deserve.” Community members interested in participating in the closed beta need to opt-in through their Beta Profile Settings, found in the Account Management section of Battle.net accounts.
Diablo III’s Reaper of Souls expansion is coming to Windows PC, Mac OS X, PS4, PS3, and Xbox 360 sometime 2014. The expansion will add a fifth chapter, a new class, and an improved loot system, among other things.
