Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition on Xbox One is getting a resolution bump via a day one patch that will make the game run at 1080p and 60 frames per second, Blizzard has confirmed.
Previously the developer announced that the Ultimate Evil Edition would run at 1080p and 60fps on PlayStation 4, but would only run at 900p on Xbox One to secure a stable frame rate. However, in a recent GameSpot livestream, associate producer Tiffany Wat revealed that a day one patch for the game on Xbox One would boost the resolution up to 1080p.
The game will be available at 1080p on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One,” she said at around the 20:05 mark in the video below. “Native 1080p resolution. You will need to download the day one patch on Xbox One to get that support, but it will be there.”
Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition will be available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One from August 19.
