DICE Aiming for a Year To Unlock Everything in Battlefield 3

THE BUZZ: According to DICE, it should take a full year to unlock everything in Battlefield 3.

It was previously revealed that DICE would be focusing on extending the life of Battlefield 3 through unlocks and awards. We already know that it will take over 100 hours to complete each kit/class in the game, and now DICE’s Patrick Bach has stated that the team is aiming for a whole year to unlock everything:

“You don’t have to play through the whole game to unlock a new thing – you’ll actually unlock things for each specific weapon and kit. On the other hand if you want to explore the full unlock tree, there’s plenty of things for you to do – we’re aiming for a full year of play for those who really want to unlock everything.”

EGM’s TAKE: What does a “year of play” mean? If you play 12+ hours a day you will hit that “year” mark a lot faster than the guy who plays for an hour.
