DICE Clarifies Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand Map Rotation
Posted on November 11, 2011 AT 01:45pm
THE BUZZ: There’s been some mixed messages coming out today about how the maps for Back to Karkand are going to integrate once released—thankfully, DICE has clarified those details.
Earlier today, the official Battlefield twitter account said the following…
Back to Karkand will be a separate map rotation, much like BFBC2 Vietnam. ^WS
…which, of course, goes against what we were told before—that the Back to Karkand maps would be integrated into the main map rotation. However, following that, the Battlefield twitter account came back to correct that statement and clarify the situation:
Sorry about earlier B2K related confusion – B2K and BF3 maps can/will be part of the same rotations. Not like BC2 Vietnam.
EGM’s TAKE: So, folks, nothing to worry about. If you’ve heard anybody saying that the Back to Karkand maps wouldn’t end up as part of the main map rotation, you can now put those fears to rest. While it was a mistake on the part of a representative for Battlefield 3 on some part, it was just that—a mistake. Some of you may have already heard this, or not even heard the mistaken information at all—we just wanted to make sure that, in case you had, you’d now know the truth.
