DICE Comments On Battlefield 3 Issues

THE BUZZ: As our video games get more complex in terms of visuals, audio, and gameplay, so too does the programming required to bring those experiences to life. So, unfortunately, it’s not surprising when a game like Battlefield 3 launches, and right away players find bugs, glitches, or other issues.
Here’s a rundown of some of the comments coming from DICE in regards to fixes:
First up is a message from the official Battlefield Twitter account in regards to the problem many people are having registering their copes of Battlefield 3:
“We’re aware of the issues that are affecting users’ ability to activate #BF3 and to redeem game codes. We’ll update once fixed. Thanks!”
Fredrik Thylander, Senior Designer at DICE, comments on the timeframe for a possible patch:
“It’s the day after release here, so i do not for the life of me have a schedule, but the fix has gone in to the patch-code.”
Thylander again, this time concerning the issue some PC players have been having with mouse movement:
“We found the issue thanks to your guys threads. Sneaky bug. It’s a code thing, not a setting. When it hit the cap for movement it interpolated time of movement instead of distance.”
This next comment is from a Battlefield 3 Community Manager on Reddit, in response to a poster who talks about having similar aiming issues on the PS3 version of the game:
“We’ve heard similar concerns regarding the sensitivity and control for PC and PS3. We’ve forwarded all of these concerns along to the DICE team who is looking at this issue.”
EGM’s TAKE: Our very own Matthew Bennett has himself run into the problem of not being able to register his PC copy of Battlefield 3 in order to play it—forcing him to have to sit there simply looking at his copy of the game longingly.
How about you? Have you run into any huge bugs or issues with your copy of Battlefield 3 so far?
