DICE has offered details on all seven of Battlefield 4‘s multiplayer modes, which will be available across ten multiplayer maps when the game releases at the end of next month.
First up are Conquest and Domination, which will be available during the Battlefield 4 beta next week. Conquest is a capture the flag mode with vehicles, while domination is the same thing without vehicles. Next up is Obliteration, this is a new mode which tasks two teams with securing a single bomb, taking it to the enemy base, and detonating it. The mode will support up to 32 players on PC and next-gen consoles and up to 24 players on current-gen consoles.
Defuse pits two teams of five against each other in perma-death deathmatch mode. Victory can be achieved by either eliminating the enemy team or by destroying a military asset they own. Rush, another returning mode, sees one team tasked with destroying the enemies MCOM stations, while the other team tries to defend them. The attacking team has a set amount of respawns allocated to them, once the count reaches zero they lose. Finally, Battlefield 4 will also see the return of Team and Squad Deathmatch.
Battlefield 4 is set to release October 29 in North America and November 1 in Europe for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Next-gen versions will be available as launch titles.
