Dice further explains the reasons for why Battlefield 3 console versions run at 30 FPS

THE BUZZ: It was revealed earlier this year that Battlefield 3 would only run at 30 FPS on consoles which caused quite a commotion amongst gamers. Dice has today strengthened their decision to go with 30 FPS.
Dice has been offering reasons for their decision to go with 30FPS over the last few months and in a recent interview with IGN they once again discussed the reasons why.
“It’s not a technical challenge to get it to run at 60 but you have to scale back in some areas and we’re not willing to do that. We want to keep the core concept of what Battlefield is about and that means we’d rather stay with 30FPS because we are convinced that it is a good shooter experience there on 30FPS.”
EGM’s TAKE: I’m really not fussed with the game not running at 60 FPS personally I can never see a major difference between the two, however some fans are upset by this news and feel that the game will not be as good as if it were running at 60 FPS.
Would you prefer to see Battlefield 3 running at 60 FPS on consoles or are you happy with 30 FPS?
