Battlefield 3

THE BUZZ: Two staffers at DICE have gone to Twitter to tease some upcoming Battlefield 3 surprises.

EGM’s TAKE: Teases! We love them, we hate them, we hate to love them and love to hate them! Two members of DICE have done a bit of testing on Twitter about Battlefield 3-related things.

First up is Global Battlefield Community Manager Daniel Matros. On Twitter today, he has this to say: “Good playtests going on in the Studio today! #nice”

Meanwhile, Gameplay Designer Tim Kjell was also teasing something on Twitter today, saying: “I have a ‘slight feeling’ next week will be a very, very… shall we say, rewarding, week? ;)”

Hmm—could Matros’ and Kjell’s tweets be relating to the same thing?

Also, one other less serious—but fun—thing said by Kjell. Kjell noted that he ran into a certain now famous game creator during his morning commute: “On a different note, I saw @notch this morning in the subway. I have a feeling his morning walk in the tube inspired minecraft zombies.”

Maybe next time Kjell runs into Notch, he should chat the game creator up to get some sort of epic Battlefield 3 / Minecraft cross-over going on. Build your own Battlefield 3 maps in Minecraft? Or maybe creepers and zombies invade BF3?
