Before we get to duke it out against UFC fighter Conor McGregor’s character in the upcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, McGregor took his own crack at the game using the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset. There’s just one catch: As far as we know, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare isn’t coming to the Oculus Rift.
A video was recently posted to McGregor’s YouTube channel, The Fight Life, showing McGregor using a VR setup for what seems like the first time. According to the video’s title, he’s playing Infinite Warfare.
While there is a VR experience coming with Infinite Warfare, it’s so far been touted as a PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR exclusive. Does this video confirm that it’ll eventually make its way onto PC-compatible VR headsets as well? Is the video’s title just wrong?
Then again, it doesn’t sound like any combat is taking place, so it may be a special demo prepared just for McGregor and not anything that will ever be made available to the public. Whatever he’s checking out, it’s apparently pretty impressive.
McGregor was revealed in September as playing a role in the futuristic shooter, but he may not be the only sports star to show up in Infinite Warfare.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is slated to launch November 4th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
