Digimon Adventure For PSP Gets Japanese Trailer, U.S. Release Uncertain

Namco Bandai has released a trailer for Digimon Adventure, the franchise’s 15th anniversary celebration title that was announced for PSP back in August. For fans of the series, it should be pretty nostalgic.
There’s been dozens of Digimon video games, toys, comics, and anime series, but the property as whole as never been as popular as Pokémon, sitting its rival’s shadow for years.
This new PSP title won’t change anything, though, and it’s not exactly clear whether or not this will get a North America or European release, either.
While the PSP does have a huge install base across most regions, Digimon has only been at its most popular in Japan, with the franchise fizzling out everywhere else after a few years. Moreover, a traditional RPG that only recaps the first arc of the first anime season—an incredibly small portion of the overall story—might not be a huge seller here.
