Update (9:30PM): Bandai Namco has sent out a correction to their earlier correction, reconfirming that Digimon World: Next Order will only be coming to the West on PlayStation 4 in both digital and physical releases. While the earlier corrected stated that the PlayStation Vita version would also be coming over, that now seems to not be the case.
Update (2:35PM): Bandai Namco has reached out to let us know that Digimon World: Next Order will be coming to the West as a digital download on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, while the PlayStation 4 version will also be available as a physical disc at retail.
Original story: Bandai Namco has announced that PlayStation Vita game Digimon World: Next Order will be coming to PlayStation 4 in the West in early 2017.
“Digimon World: Next Order begins when players are sucked into the Digital World to discover it is under siege by Machinedramons,” the developer explains. “Rescued by two Digimon from impending doom, players must forge forward with their Digimon partners and journey through the Digital World to discover the origins of the Machinedramon scourge and find a way back to the real world. Along the way, players will nurture and train their Digimon partners for battle as they progress through the game.”
The game contains over 200 Digimon and allows players to travel through the Digital World with two Digimon partners for the first time in franchise history.
The PlayStation 4 version will feature upgraded graphics, new missions, and several new Digimon.
